ἐν τούτοις δηλοῖ τοῖς ἔπεσιν τὸν τρόπον ἐκατέρου τοῦ ἀνδρός, ὡς ὁ μὲν Ἀχιλλεὺς εἴη ἀληθής τε καὶ ἁπλοῦς, ὁ δὲ Ὀδυσσεὺς πολύτροπός τε καὶ ψευδής· ποιεῖ γὰρ τὸν Ἀχιλλέα εἰς τὸν Ὀδυσσέα λέγοντα ταῦτα τὰ ἔπη.
With these words he shows the nature of each man, that Achilles was truthful and simple, while Odysseus was cunning and deceitful. He has Achilles saying this to Odysseus.
