ἐν τούτοις δηλοῖ τοῖς ἔπεσιν τὸν τρόπον ἐκατέρου τοῦ ἀνδρός, ὡς ὁ μὲν Ἀχιλλεὺς εἴη ἀληθής τε καὶ ἁπλοῦς, ὁ δὲ Ὀδυσσεὺς πολύτροπός τε καὶ ψευδής· ποιεῖ γὰρ τὸν Ἀχιλλέα εἰς τὸν Ὀδυσσέα λέγοντα ταῦτα τὰ ἔπη. |
With these words he shows the nature of each man, that Achilles was truthful and simple, while Odysseus was cunning and deceitful. He has Achilles saying this to Odysseus. |
