τὼ νῦν σοὶ μὲν ἐγὼ ξεῖνος φίλος Ἄργεϊ μέσσῳ
εἰμί, σὺ δ’ ἐν Λυκίῃ ὅτε κεν τῶν δῆμον ἵκωμαι.

Therefore now am I a dear guest-friend to thee in the midst of Argos, and thou to me in Lycia, whenso I journey to the land of that folk.
