οὐ γὰρ ἔδεισά κω μὴ ἑσσωθέωμεν ὑπὸ Σκυθέων μάχῃ, ἀλλὰ μᾶλλον μὴ οὐ δυνάμενοι σφέας εὑρεῖν πάθωμεν τι ἀλώμενοι.

I was not in any sense worried that we may be beaten in battle against the Scythians, but only that we would not be able to find them and then that we may suffer something as we wander around.
